At Ascendant Ventures, Abdelqader drives business development and client relationships, leveraging his deep expertise in financial strategy, team leadership, and market expansion across the UAE and beyond. He holds a Bachelor's in Finance and Banking and is a CISI-certified professional in Wealth and Investment Management.
Melvine Mathews is a highly versatile business leader with over two decades of experience spanning banking, technology consulting, data analytics, and digital innovation. Having built his career across Microland, Bangalore Labs, Binnie Black & Veatch, Standard Chartered Bank and Mashreq Bank in the UAE — holding senior roles including VP of Proposition, Portfolio & Products and Head of Priority & International Banking — Melvine brings rare depth across strategy, digital transformation, and analytical leadership.
At Ascendant Ventures, he channels this multi-disciplinary expertise into building a firm that sits at the intersection of consulting, technology, and marketing. Melvine holds an MBA in Finance from Lancaster University, UK, and a BE in Computer Science from Bombay University. He is also a practitioner of predictive analytics, AI/ML, blockchain, and modern web technologies.
